Beau Biden Dead - VP's Son Dies of Brain Cancer at Age 46

Beau Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden, has died at age 46 following a battle with brain cancer.

The news was announced by the VP himself in a statement released by the White House.

“It is with broken hearts that Hallie, Hunter, Ashley, Jill and I announce the passing of our husband, brother and son, Beau, after he battled brain cancer with the same integrity, courage and strength he demonstrated every day of his life,” Joe said in his statement.

“The entire Biden family is saddened beyond words. We know that Beau’s spirit will live on in all of us—especially through his brave wife, Hallie, and two remarkable children, Natalie and Hunter,” he continued.

It was announced last week that Beau had been admitted to Walter Reed Medical Hospital and while sources told CNN that the situation was serious, it was not known what he was being treated for.

Beau‘s life was defined by service to others. As a young lawyer, he worked to establish the rule of law in war-torn Kosovo. A major in the Delaware National Guard, he was an Iraq War veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star. As Delaware’s Attorney General, he fought for the powerless and made it his mission to protect children from abuse.

“More than his professional accomplishments, Beau measured himself as a husband, father, son and brother. His absolute honor made him a role model for our family. Beau embodied my father’s saying that a parent knows success when his child turns out better than he did.

“In the words of the Biden family: Beau Biden was, quite simply, the finest man any of us have ever known.”

My condolences. Very sad. I believe Joe Biden’s first wife died young and he raised his children and now tragedy has struck again and Joe Biden’s son’s two kids will grow up without their father. Hopefully Joe Biden will live long enough for his grandkids to become young adults. It will be hard. God bless them.

Highlighting he served in the Iraq war is nothing to be proud of it’s inserting politics in what should have been a painful statement.

I dont believe Biden wrote this whatsoever.

  • FerCat

People in America have mostly differentiated those who start the war and those who fight in it.

  • Lylian

I believe the shame of Iraq belong to George w bush, dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, condi rice, Colin Powell and the rest of the leadership which were either lying to the public or deliberately negligent with the truth, who presented skewed “evidence” and persuaded people who trusted them to believe there really was weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The soldiers were also lied to. Their leaders put them in harms way by their
Is or their deliberate disregard for the truth.

I think the soldiers did what they had to do given the “facts” presented to them. They were put in harms way by a bunch of shameless leaders headed by George w bush.

His duty, bravery and honor makes him an ultimate hero. Thank you Mr. Biden for your service on and off the battlefield. May God bless your family & ALL the young men and women serving around the globe.

Joe lost his wife and one-year-old daughter in a car accident in 1972. Beau and his brother, Hunter, survived the crash. Ashley is Joe’s daughter with Jill.

Get your f-ing head out of the sand! Your statement is outrageous and shameful! You can be damn sure Joe and his family are proud of his son’s service to this country regardless of the politics of the war. Our service people follow orders, not make the decisions. The politicians in Washington make the decisions. Just remember those brave men and women put their lives on the line so sorry a/sses like you can post complete garbage. I, as an American, am very proud of Beau Biden, and his service to our country, and I thank him as I mourn his passing. NO POLITICS INVOLVED!

Politics aside, I wish their family the best. 46 is too young. RIP beau biden

And this brings to light an interesting anecdote, and by interesting I mean sad. Too many people on here are putting their political beliefs ahead of their humanity and that is just really a terrible thing.

We can not spend our lives worrying and thinking all day long about politics. While I know many make it their career and use it to gain fame and fortune, most of us must live our lives by taking care of bills, chores, necessities, children, making a living and those things that comprise living a life.

I have to worry about my rent ($1000/month), health insurance ($310/month), internet ($80/month from TWC), car insurance ($25/month from Insurance Panda), and phone ($20/month from mobile)… all on a 40k/year salary. Many people struggle much worse than I do.

If you don’t value humanity and human life above all else then really what is the whole point of your political affiliation? These parties are supposedly there to make life better for everyone, but all I see is a lot of people being ruined by them.

This is an insurance ad! Shameful and disgusting!

Flagging does no good. This site is full of spam and and trolls and the moderators do nothing about it.

Get over yourself. We don’t care whether you believe it or not. RIP to the family, especially Joe, who already lost a wife and daughter. Deadpool: learn some class or go troll somewhere else. Don’t bother responding, because I won’t be reading it.
