Drake Bell Apologizes for Offensive Caitlyn Jenner Tweet

Drake Bell has apologized for his offensive tweets about Caitlyn Jenner‘s transition.

When the 65-year-old former Olympian made her official debut as a woman on the cover of Vanity Fair, saying “Call Me Caitlyn,” the young actor tweeted that he would still call her Bruce.

“I sincerely apologize for my thoughtless insensitive remarks. I in no way meant to hurt or demean those going through a similar journey,” Drake said in his apology. “Although my comments were made in innocence, I deeply regret the negative effect they’ve had on so many.”

“he is beyond irrelevant”. What does that make you? He has been in the news more than you ever will be your whole life.

Dang it Drake! I was hoping you’d be strong enough to stand your ground. We can’t let these Kardashian/Jenner freaks have so much power over us. Seriously people, this is freak’n ridiculous!

“I have a dream” that I may go one day without having to see the face of a Kardashian/Jenner.

“I have a dream” that society may speak up freely against the Kardashians/Jenners without receiving negative backlash.

“I have a dream” that there will be people one day with balls enough to stand by any comments they make against the Kardashians/Jenners without backtracking with an ‘apology’.

  • JC

    Amen Joseph!

  • Sassypants

Just curious, anyone else notice how every celeb or quasi-celeb calls his gender transition a “journey”. Why is that word so appealing to everyone?

  • Ryan Patrick McAvoy

This isn’t about Kardashians or Jenners. This is about equality and transgender rights.

  • JC

Oh really? You think this is “helping” the “transgender rights” issue? (snicker) All what this media hype is doing is desensitizing the whole transgender issue to those really hurting from it. When everybody gets sick of this current transgender ‘fad’ & interest fades- because it always does with ‘fads’ – those really suffering with transgender issues will be left in the media dust while Jenner’s bank account will be overflowing. He has money to get operations. Those that don’t will still be stuck in their misery while the rest of the world won’t care let alone offer any sympathy. They’ll just think, “Hey, I gave Jenner his ‘kudos’. I did my part in helping the transgender cause. Time to move on. Next fad please.”

Don’t think “this isn’t about the Kardashians or Jenners” because it most certainly is.
