Jon Bernthal Joins 'Daredevil' Season 2 as The Punisher!

Jon Bernthal just landed an awesome role on the upcoming second season of the Netflix series Daredevil!

The 38-year-old former The Walking Dead actor will be playing the Marvel favorite The Punisher, the comic book company has announced. His character “is a vigilante who aims to clean up New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen by any means necessary, no matter how lethal the results.”

“Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “Frank Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same.”

The second season of the show, starring Charlie Cox, will debut in 2016.
