Amal Clooney Represents Chagos Islanders in Supreme Court Case
Amal Clooney rocks a plaid coat while braving the wind in the Notting Hill neighborhood on Tuesday (June 23) in London, England.
The 37-year-old lawyer has just taken on a Supreme Court case, where she will represent Indian Ocean islanders, who want to return to Chagos Archipelago after being evicted in the 1960s and 1970s.
If you are unaware, Britain evicted the islanders, so the United States military could build an air base on Diego Garcia, which is the largest island in Chagos Archipelago.
FYI: Amal is wearing a Tome jacket, Citizens of Humanity jeans and Heidi London sunglasses.
