Dick Van Patten Dead - 'Eight is Enough' Actor Dies at 86 From Diabetes Complications

Veteran actor Dick Van Patten, known as patriarch Tom Bradford on the ’80s series Eight Is Enough, has passed away at the age of 86, People reports.

The actor, who was also featured on the hit series The Love Boat, died early Tuesday (June 23) at Saint John’s Hospital in Santa Monica from complications due to diabetes.

Dick also has starred in numerous television shows including The New Dick Van Dyke Show, Happy Days, Arrested Development, That ’70s Show and Hot in Cleveland.
