Boston Marathon Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Speaks in Court For 1st Time - Read His Statements

The Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev spoke in court on Wednesday (June 24) before being formally sentenced to death.

According to WBZ-TV’s Jim Armstrong, the 21-year-old spoke to a room full of victims that were affected on the tragic day several years ago. After Dzhokhar spoke to the court, he was officially sentenced to death by execution.

“I am guilty of the bombing, let there be no lingering question about that,” Dzhokhar said. “After the bombing, I learned victims’ names and saw their faces.”

“I also wish more people had the chance to testify. I am sorry for the lives that I’ve taken, the sorrow I have caused.”

Our continued thoughts and prayers go out to those who were affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.
