Miss USA Pageant Will Still Happen, Despite Being Dropped By NBC Over Donald Trump's Immigration Comments

The Miss USA parent organization just confirmed that despite being dropped by NBC due to Donald Trump‘s controversial comments about immigration, the show will still happen on July 12.

“We are disheartened by recent events but the show will go on,” a statement read (via Us Weekly). “The Miss Universe Organization operates as an independent company. In its 64 year history, and under many owners, Miss Universe has developed into a globally recognized brand, with nearly 150 franchise holders domestically and internationally, the majority of whom are small business owners.”

Donald has since responded, claiming that he was not fired by NBC.
