Subway Releases Statement After Spokesman Jared Fogle's House Raided in Child Pornography Case
Jared Fogle, best known for being Jared from Subway, had his house raided earlier this morning (July 7) in connection with a child pornography investigation.
“Jared has been cooperating, and continues to cooperate, with law enforcement in their investigation of unspecified charges, and looks forward to its conclusion,” the 37-year-old spokesperson’s lawyer Ron Elberger said in the statement.
Meanwhile, Subway released a statement about the situation. “We are shocked about the news and believe it is related to a prior investigation of a former Jared Foundation employee. We are very concerned and will be monitoring the situation closely,” the statement read (via ABC News). The former employee referred to in the quote is Russell Taylor, who was arrested for child pornography back in May.
