Magnum P.I.'s Tom Selleck Accused of Stealing Water During California's Drought

Tom Selleck, well known for his role on Magnum P.I. and his recurring guest stint on Friends, is being sued by the Calleguas Municipal Water District for allegedly using a public fire hydrant to fill a water tank to bring to his ranch in Westlake Village, Calif.

The complaint says that the 70-year-old actor is barred from using the hydrant because his property is located within the Hidden Valley Municipal Water District, E! News reports. The actor apparently filled a water tank on 12 different occasions.

Tom and his wife, Jillie Mack, who is also listed in the suit, were reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter by the Calleguas Municipal Water District in 2013.

California is undergoing a huge drought at the moment, and Tom is under fire for using large amounts of water.

    Stealing Water? Magnum P. U.?

maybe people should start accusing him of the stuff he’s been doing for decades….like having little boys delivered to him in hawaii on the other side of the island………..

We all know who Tom Selleck is. I don’t think referencing a show he was on in the 80s is necessary, especially given that he’s continued to work over the 2 decades since that show ended. I never stop being impressed by Jared’s journalism skills.

And he filled the tank and drove the truck himself? No, this is just a liberal official trying to make a name for him/herself. More than likely this is a landscape company that irrigates property that did this. THat they went to Selleck’s home is irrelevant. In order to access a hydrant, you need a key. Rather than make an issue over where the water was delivered…who has the key and who gave it to them?
