'The Jeffersons' Actor Irwin Keyes Dead at 63
Sad news – longtime actor Irwin Keyes has passed away.
The 63-year-old Jeffersons actor died Wednesday (July 8) at his home in Playa Del Rey, Calif, EW reports.
Irwin reportedly died of acromegaly, which is a rare pituitary gland disorder. He had been living in a rehabilitation center over the past couple of months.
“People would look at him and be instantly afraid him and then they would meet him talk to him and instantly love him,” his manager Phil Brock told the mag. “He would play villains, but he had the kindest heart of all.”
Irwin was probably best known for his role as George Jefferson’s occasional bodyguard. He is survived by his wife Tracy Fontaine.
Our thoughts go out to Irwin‘s friends and family during this difficult time.
