'Parks and Rec' Creator Says Amy Poehler's Lack of Emmys is a 'Great Hollywood Tragedy'
Amy Poehler pairs a vintage The Who tee with tailored shorts as she arrives at BBC Studios on Friday (July 17) in London, England.
The 43-year-old actress is in town to promote her current animated film Inside Out, in which she voices the character Joy.
Amy‘s series Parks and Recreation, which concluded this year, was recently nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Co-creator Michael Schur said the Emmy nod came as a total shock: “[It was] utterly shocking and surprising, and not in the fake way that people always say it’s surprising,”
He also mentioned his disappointment in Amy‘s lack of Emmys. “It’s one of the great Hollywood tragedies that she hasn’t won an Emmy yet,” he said. “I think the world just thinks that she’s won…I just hope and pray that somehow or another, this is Amy’s year.”
FYI: Amy is wearing BB Dakota shorts.
