Taylor Swift to Launch Clothing Line With Chinese Retailer

Taylor Swift is headed into the fashion world!

The 25-year-old “Bad Blood” entertainer will be teaming up with Chinese retailer JD.com to sell her very own brand of clothing, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

The site is China’s second largest e-commerce company and Taylor‘s line will be sold exclusively on the website’s U.S. Mall platform, which is “a debut channel for the site that acts like a virtual American shopping mall, promising Chinese shoppers authentic American products.”

Taylor‘s products will launch in November, just as she hits Shanghai for her 1989 Tour.

Even Taylor Swift is costing Americans jobs by working with the Chinese. She should give something back to all the Americans that have made her rich by going to her concerts and buying her music.

I may have misread the announcement but to me it sounds like Taylor will be selling AMERICAN-produced clothing (presumably, made by Americans) on the Chinese website. Because otherwise the “virtual American shopping mall, promising Chinese shoppers authentic American products” doesn’t make sense. So she’ll actually be creating jobs for Americans and taking money from the Chinese, which should be exactly what you want, right?
