Taylor Kitsch Has 'No Regrets' About 'John Carter'

Taylor Kitsch is dapper in a suit while attending the opening night of CAN/LA at the Bing Theatre at LACMA presented by Film Independent on Thursday (July 30) in Los Angeles.

The 34-year-old True Detective star was joined at the event by TIFF artistic director Cameron Bailey, and filmmakers Maxime Giroux and Albert Shin as they all sat down for a panel discussion.

Taylor recently opened up about not having regrets in his career.

“People still want to talk about John Carter [as a flop], but I have no regrets,” Taylor told Parade. “I learned so much from that process. I’m going to have a lot of ups and downs in my career. I think you should, if you’re taking risks, and I’m not one to play it safe.”

John Carter was pretty good. Just not a great film. He has nothing to be ashamed off.

I would love to see him as Gambit again!

Yes, I felt he looked and acted the part quite well.

Taylor Kitsch’s Tim Riggins was probably one of the best TV characters ever written and played. I only watched John Carter recently (4 years late… thanks to bad press), however, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the movie. Checked out Taylor’s work and the reasons to the choices he made. I’m surprised (again) that he’s an actor with a lot of integrity. Looking forward to following his future work.
