'Fantastic Four' Director Blames Studio for Bad Reviews

Josh Trank, the director of the new Fantastic Four movie, is blaming the studio for the bad reviews the film is getting.

“A year ago I had a fantastic version of this. And it would’ve received great reviews. You’ll probably never see it. That’s reality though,” he wrote on Twitter before quickly deleting the tweet.

Fantastic Four currently has a 9% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but it is still expected to win the weekend at the box office with an estimated $40 million, according to Variety.

WILL YOU SEE Fantastic Four in theaters this weekend?

Lmao didn’t he show up either under the influence or not bothering to make it to set at all while filming? Own up to the fact that you made a trash film and wasted everyone’s time/money.

I have no desire to see a remake or “reboot” of a franchise that last released a movie in 2007. Can’t these Hollywood writers and directors be more creative than giving us the same crap over and over again.

  • AngiePangie21

Saw these 4 at an AOL panel for this movie- They were 4 pretentious jerks/douche bags with no heart or personality- don’t waste your time on this garbage movie

  • Audrey

It was a great casting, the first hour of the movie was good but then it was botched in 15 min like they were running out of time
And that I’m pretty sure it’s the studio’s fault

  • JLover

Worst cast! they should have bring back the team from the previous version. POOR POOR POOR

  • Effy

Yeah, blame the studio. Have fun trying to get hired again.

There is a reason for the reboot. If Fox doesn’t make a movie every five years or so, it will LOSE the license for FF and X Men. The licenses for the movie rights will return to Marvel Studios, and by default, Disney, Marvel’s parent company.

  • Richard Stephen

    They toatz Nerf’d the series.
