Jared Fogle Formally Charged in Child Pornography Case, Court Documents Reveal Disturbing Details
Details about the child pornography court case surrounding former Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle have just been revealed in newly released court documents.
The 37-year-old is facing one count of travel to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography.
In the court documents, the prosecutors allege that Jared traveled to New York City to pay for sex with minors while staying in high end hotels. There are said to be 14 victims, both boys and girls.
One text message chain from Jared asked a 17-year-old girl to find him a minor, and “that the younger the girl, the better.”
The documents also state that he knowingly received files containing child pornography produced by the former director of his charity. Children as young as six years old were featured in the files. The full court documents can be viewed here.
Jared entered a guilty plea and is expected to pay $1.4 million in restitution, which is $100,000 to each victim.
