Taraji P. Henson Says the World Needed to Hear Viola Davis' Emmys Speech
Taraji P. Henson sits down for an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which aired on Tuesday (September 22).
The 45-year-old Empire actress opened up about losing the Emmy over the weekend to How to Get Away With Murder actress Viola Davis, who gave an incredibly inspiring acceptance speech about creating opportunity for all actresses.
“Had I won it wouldn’t have been that message. I mean it woulda been good. Don’t ya know. It woulda been great, but I just think the universe orders up what it needs when it needs it. And I think the world needed to hear what she had to say last night,” Taraji said.
