The team swept the Chicago Cubs in four games to take home the pennant and NLCS title with a 8-3 victory in Game 4 at Wrigley Field.
They will play Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday, October 27 in Kansas City or Toronto, depending on the outcome of the ALCS.
It will be the team’s first World Series appearance since 2000 when they lost to the Yankees. The Mets last won the championship in 1986.
