'Star Wars' Fan Who Screened 'Force Awakens' Early Dies at 32

Star Wars superfan Daniel Fleetwood, who was allowed to see the new film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, passed away just days after seeing the film early.

The 32-year-old had spindle cell sarcoma and was granted his final wish of seeing the film last week at his home.

“Daniel put up an amazing fight to the very end. He is now one with God and with the force. He passed in his sleep and in peace. He will always be my idol and my hero. Please hug uncle Marc for me and give Lucy lots of kisses. Rest in peace my love. This was the last selfie we ever took together. ‪#‎forcefordaniel‬,” his wife Ashley wrote on Facebook.

Back in 2013, J.J. Abrams also allowed film buff Daniel Craft to see the new Star Trek movie. He also died a few days later.

Our thoughts are with Daniel‘s family and loved ones during this time.
