'SNL' Skips Cold Opening & Pays Tribute To Paris - Watch Now
Saturday Night Live didn’t open with it’s usual skit late Staurday evening (November 14) and instead paid tribute to the victims of the deadly attacks that occurred in Paris just a day earlier.
Cast member Cecily Strong spoke directly to the audience, offering a brief and moving note of solidarity with the mourning city.
“Paris is the City of Lights and here in New York City, we know that light will never go out. Our love and support is with everyone there tonight. We stand with you,” Cecily said. She then repeated the same phrase in fluent French.
