Justin Theroux's 'The Leftovers' Had a Major [SPOILER] Tonight
There was a MAJOR development in the episode and it could definitely change the course of the rest of the series.
This season has had a much different tone and creative direction than the first season. Many of the actors from the first season were let go and the series was moved to Texas for both filming and the story-line.
There are just three episodes left in season two, so make sure to catch up now and watch new episodes each Sunday night at 10/9c on HBO.

Throughout the entire season, Justin‘s character Kevin Garvey has been seeing visions of Patti (Ann Dowd), the head of the Guilty Remnant who committed suicide in his arms in the finale of season one. After he finally told his girlfriend Nora (Carrie Coon) about his visions, she leaves him and takes their adopted child with her. She said she doesn’t want to see him again because he is seeing visions of a dead woman.
To try and get rid of the visions, Kevin goes to the town’s local exorcist Virgil, the father of his next-door neighbor played by Regina King, to receive help. Virgil gives him something to drink that is meant to kill him and then the exorcist is supposed to revive him using a syringe containing epinephrine, which is used to restart the heart.
After Kevin drinks the potion, Virgil empties the syringe on the ground, takes a gun, and commits suicide by shooting himself dead. Kevin lays there on the ground lifeless with foam coming out of his mouth. As the episode ends, we see Virgil’s grandson Michael pulling Kevin’s seemingly dead body out of the house.
While Kevin seems to be dead, this obviously doesn’t mean that Justin is off the show. Even though her character died last season, Ann has been a major presence this season with her powerful character Patti. We certainly can’t wait to see what happens next!
