Subways's Jared Fogle Sentenced to 15+ Years in Prison for Sex Crimes

Jared Fogle was just sentenced to 15 years and eight months in prison on Thursday (November 19) after pleading guilty to having sex with minors and distributing child pornography.

The 38-year-old former Subway spokesperson copped a plea deal and will reportedly serve a minimum of 13 years before parole, in addition to lifetime supervised release.

According to Reuters, Fogle agreed in court earlier that morning to avoid pornography, get sexual disorder treatment, and register as a sex offender.

Fogle‘s defense claimed his dramatic weight loss affected his decisions.

“Once he lost weight, it seemed as though in a short time he had hyper-sexuality,” forensic psychiatrist John Bradford testified (via the Indianapolis Star). “There are brain disorders that can be associated with sexual drive.”
