Olivia Munn Fights Back After Green Bay Packers Fans Blame Her Aaron Rodgers Relationship for Team's Losses

Olivia Munn is not so happy with the media for shining a light on some Green Bay Packers fans who are criticizing her relationship with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The 35-year-old Newsroom actress has been taking the blame from some fans after the team lost their third straight game last Sunday.

Olivia tweeted, “Dear, @WashingtonPost @FoxSports and the other news outlets that followed suit. The internet, and especially..Playing it fast & loose w/the journalism @RobDemovsky. Your professional skills are lacking… you must be having personal problems at home.”

I’m sorry but that’s like blaming Gisele Bundchen for her husband being a cheat

  • Mads_22

Fans did the same thing when Jessica Simpson dated Tony Romo. Blamed the girlfriend every time their team lost. It’s so gross. Last I checked, it takes a whole team to lose a football game. Not the girlfriend of a player, who’s just watching. It’s such misogynistic bullshit.

You might want to actually take the time to read the Wells Report as well as the documents from the Appeal. There is zero evidence of any knowledge of the so called ball deflation. Oh, and that so called deflation is now in question as well. The way Brady is playting this year is evidence enough that a minor difference in inflation rates has zero bearing on game play.
That said, the fans blamed Gisele from 2007 until last year for the lack of Super Bowl wins. Olivia should just ignore the tabloid fodder…it will pass soon enough.

“That’s like asking the KKK to give a review of Straight Outta Compton”

That made me laugh, because Howard Stern actually used to do a segment where a KKK guy did movie reviews.

she isn’t to blame for anything except being an idiot by responding. it isn’t even necessary and just shows that she (and he) are paying attention to the gossip about themselves.

Those are not real fans. Real fans know that the team is in a deep hole but they will climb out not because of their girlfriends/wifes. But because of their stenght , stamina and endurance. So just dont pay attention to socalled fans’ opinion. that’s totally worthless.

This musing about Ms. Munn seems more like a distraction than a real explanation of what’s happened to the Packers recently.

It just seems like between game 6 and 7 there has been an apparent collapse. To me, the defense has stood up better than the offense. So, what’s causing it? If it were a personal problem with AR (Munn or otherwise), it would affect HIS performance but not necessarily everyone’s.

It reminds me of what happened during WWII when the allies broke the enemy code. It was mysterious. Things happened that couldn’t be explained. Morale was affected. Today, it’s as though there’s someone in the Packer huddle or as though someone has fed the signal calling keys to the opponent. The receivers aren’t suddenly slow or incompetent. The linemen are not suddenly incapable of blocking. The running backs are not suddenly timid. Yet the whole offense for 3 games has looked less than themselves. I don’t think it’s poor coaching. You couldn’t coach that badly if you were trying. Wasn’t it Sitton who said the Pack was becoming too predictable? That’s what it would seem like if the opponent had the play call in advance.

What would I do? In addition to the usual game prep, I’d:
    a) Make a substantial change in the line-of-scrimmage play calling keys.
    b) Look internally at film and see if there is a “tell” in what the Packers are doing.
    c) Initiate an investigation into the opponents’ ability to forecast the Packer play call.
    d) I’d ask the players for their opinions. If there’s a problem, there’s a good chance some of them might figure it out.
    e) With all this in mind, encourage problem solving and taking responsibility rather than blaming. If the opponent knows your plays and you’re unaware of this, it’s only natural to blame your coach or your mates ….. and you’d be wrong.

If I’m right, once the cause is unmasked, the improvement should be rapid and dramatic. Perhaps we will then begin to RELAX again. The Packers are a good bunch and they deserve our support.
