Helen Mirren Worried Hubby Taylor Hackford Wouldn't Make Love To Her Again After She Played 'The Queen'
Helen Mirren rocks a floral dress while attending a special cocktail reception for her latest film Women In Gold held at the House of Elyx on Wednesday (December 2) in New York City.
The 70-year-old actress was joined at the event by Alan Cumming, Ian McKellen, model Lindsay Ellingson and Paul Iacono, who all came out to show their support. Absolut Elyx CEO Jonas Tahlin hosted the event.
Earlier this week, Helen gave a hilarious speech at the 2015 Gotham Independent Film Awards while accepting her Lifetime Achievement Award.
“I’ll have to you a story about The Queen,” Helen told the audience. “When the film was first screened at Venice, I’d never seen it before nor had my husband, Taylor (Hackford), and the first shot is of me completely in all the regalia and the wig and everything, and I turned to look at the camera, and my husband lets out this huge laugh because he’s never seen me dressed as The Queen before. So I leaned over to him and I said, ‘Darling do you think you’ll ever fu*k me again?’”
“Between you and me, ‘Yes’,” Helen joked. “This isn’t on television is it? Are we safe?”
