Chris Hemsworth Opens Up About Losing Weight for New Movie
Chris Hemsworth waves to the cameras while leaving the Good Morning America studios on Monday morning (December 7) in New York City.
The 32-year-old actor was at the show to talk about his movie In the Heart of the Sea, which hits theaters on Friday. Chris had to lose a lot of weight for the role and he opened up about transforming his body.
“The gaining is fine, you just eat a lot and you lift weights but that was underfed, which led to a pretty moody existence and inconsistent emotions,” Chris said. “You play all sorts of games – if I eat this maybe I don’t eat that. The insanity is nuts.”
“In order to do it justice, the story, we had to suffer in some way and we did,” he said. “In other words, not a whole lot of acting was required. We were desperate.”
