Yolanda Foster Says Her Lyme Disease Contributed to Divorce

Yolanda Foster opened up about her divorce during the Watch What Happens Live episode that aired on Tuesday (December 8) from New York City.

The 51-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, and mom to Gigi and Bella Hadid, talked about her split from husband David as well as her Lyme disease diagnosis.

“We had a beautiful love story that I will treasure forever,” Yolanda said. “Unfortunately it was not strong enough to withstand the circumstances that came our way.”

She continued, “Chronic long-term illness is extremely challenging, not only for the person that’s sick, but also for the caregiver. It for sure changed the dynamic of our relationship.”

“The truth is that we both worked through the difficult time through the best of our ability,” Yolanda added. “So rather than judging what went wrong, I pick to honor the great times that we shared in the last nine years. There were a wealth of good times.”

Yolanda and David married back in 2011 and announced their divorce earlier this month.

Seriously Lyme Disease to break up a Relationship, ??? wow that was very weak relationship to start with

  • LCPrincess

What happened to the vows for better or worst, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health until death do us part? Must not mean much to David Foster. Shame on him.

The real partner is partner in a trouble/illness, too, not only when everything is nice.

Exactly. And I doubt that Yolanda needed David to be her full-time caregiver. Yolanda seemed well enough & strong enough to film her reality show, so I doubt very much that her illness caused her to be some huge burden on him. Based on the show, it looked like he preferred her waiting on him hand and foot, so the minute she wasn’t able to do that, he bailed.
