Ronda Rousey Keeps Promise, Attends Marine Corps Ball!

Ronda Rousey kept her word after promising to attend the Marine Corps Ball with a marine named Jarrod Haschert!

The 28-year-old UFC fighter had a big smile on her face while posing with the marine at the ball on Friday night (December 11) in South Carolina.

“After the fight, she never hesitated for a second whether or not she was going to attend,” a Ronda source told ESPN. “She made a promise to a Marine and was going to keep that promise. It was as simple as that. That’s Ronda.”

Ronda told TMZ that after her big loss to Holly Holm, she “probably would stay on my couch crying and eating ice cream for another month if he didn’t ask me.”

These ball requests to famous people are such bullshit. They’re a form of public extortion, really.

It goes like this – I want attention, so I’m going to campaign to get X hot celebrity to come with me for the sake of my own ego and attention whoring, to make myself feel special. So now I make this huge deal on social media, and if this person doesn’t cancel everything on what must be a really busy agenda – friends, family, work, problems – to fly over to take ME to MY ball, then they’ll be scorned by the public and media and me as a selfish, uppity bitch who thinks she’s too good for a common “nice” guy like me.

But in reality, the request is presumptuous and the person asking is a stranger. It’s selfish hijacking.

I get doing this as a one-off, but it has to be heartfelt and a cause the famous person genuinely cares about, and wanted to voluntarily be involved in. Here they can only grin and bear it.

She healed quick. Perhaps makeup helped with covering up her injuries.
