'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Received Only Four Unfavorable Reviews

No spoilers ahead! Star Wars: The Force Awakens is being critically praised by approximately 130 reviewers who saw the movie ahead of Friday’s release date.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, 134 critics gave the movie a “fresh” rating…but four gave the movie a “rotten” rating! Despite this, the movie has a 97% “fresh” rating on the popular site.

Andrew O’Hehir, Salon.com: “[Abrams ] has made an adoring copy of Star Wars, seeking to correct its perceived flaws, without understanding that nothing about that movie’s context or meaning or enormous cultural impact can be duplicated.”

Scott Mendelson, Forbes: “It is not a little disheartening to see this new ‘Star Wars’ installment not blazing its own path but rather chasing its tail and rehashing its former glories for our approval.”
