'Star Wars' Will Shatter Box Office Records with $250-275 Million Opening Weekend!
The initial estimates for Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ opening weekend box office totals are in and the numbers are mind-boggling. The film will potentially bring in $250-275 million in its first three days of release!
After grossing $57 million in Thursday night preview screenings (which are added to the Friday total), the film is on track to have an opening day between $130-$145 million, according to Deadline. This would make the film the first movie to cross the $100 million mark in just one day.
The previous opening day record was held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, which grossed $91 million on its first day of release in 2011.
The Force Awakens will easily beat Jurassic World‘s opening weekend record of $208.8 million. Stay tuned for more details!!!
