Steve Harvey Invited to Host Miss Universe Again Next Year

Steve Harvey will have a chance to redeem himself as host of the Miss Universe pageant as he has been invited back to host again next year despite his major snafu this past weekend.

The 58-year-old comedian accidentally announced the wrong winner at this year’s competition and had to correct himself following a minute of the wrong victor celebrating the win. See the card that he was looking at during the final minutes.

WME/IMG’s Chief Content Officer Mark Shapiro says that Steve is “absolutely” welcome back to host next year. He said the comedian “did a great job. He was funny, he was informative, he’s high energy, he’s got a great following. … I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself.”

They must be desperate for a host. Probably nobody else wants to do it.

Desperate? Steve made a HUGE Mistake, but he is that dude, when it comes to hosting! Family Fued switches hosts every once in a while! But Steve lit the show on fire, and now he owns the show!

i saw the show and it was cringeworthy to say the least… it was unorganized and just awful.. but the press they are getting, no way steve harvey isn’t hosting next year.

It’ll be good publicity. People will tune in to see if he messes up again, which he won’t. But I’m sure he’ll make a nice little joke before he opens that envelope.
