Kirsten Dunst Says Playing Peggy In 'Fargo' Is 'One Of The Best Parts' She's Ever Played
Kirsten Dunst gets ready for action as she hits the court with a friend for a couple of games of tennis on Monday afternoon (December 21) in Los Angeles.
The 33-year-old actress, who is nominated for a 2016 Golden Globe in the category of Best Actress in a Limited-Series or TV Movie, recently expressed that her role of Peggy on Fargo has been one of her best yet.
“It’s one of the best parts I’ve ever played, or been able to play. It’s cliche to say, but they just don’t write parts like this for women,” Kirsten said (via LA Times). “That’s why it stands out. I’m very lucky. I got very lucky, to be honest. I had auditioned for another great thing before that I didn’t get it, but then I got Fargo. It really is, some things are meant to be. It came into my life at a time when I was very depressed about the kinds of roles that were out there for me to play. I feel very fortunate that I got to be a part of this and that she was such a great character.”
