Taylor Swift's '1989' Tour is Highest Grossing Concert of 2015
Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour is 2015′s highest grossing concert with a total of $250 million worldwide, the LA Times reports.
The 26-year-old pop star sold almost 2.3 million tickets during the tour of 83 shows in 53 cities.
Taylor also broke the $162 million record for North American dates with a total of $200 million.
One Direction placed at No. 3 with a global gross of $158.8 million. ACDC, U2 and the Foo Fighters were all in the top five.
For the first time, Ed Sheeran reached the top ten at No. 7 with a global total of $117.3 million.
Together, the top 20 acts of the year grossed a combined $2.2 billion and sold more than 24 million tickets in 2015.
