Adele's '25' Ends 2015 with 7.44 Million Copies Sold in the U.S.
The numbers are in for the final week of album sales in 2015 and Adele of course is still at number one with 25.
The 27-year-old singer’s third album sold 307,000 copies in its sixth week on the charts, ending the year with 7.44 million copies sold in the United States, according to Billboard.
Adele‘s album is the biggest seller in a calendar year since Usher‘s Confessions sold 7.98 million copies back in 2004. That album was released in March though, so it had eight months extra to build its sales as 25 was released on November 20.
The album is also the first album to top the chart for its first six weeks since Susan Boyle‘s debut album I Dreamed a Dream in 2009.
