I loved the show for the first 2 to 3 seasons, but Lena herself ruined the show with all her twitter crap and that book of hers. Shame her enormous need for attention took away from what was a great show…. at least for me

The show sucks. Its gross, poorly written and the plot is awful. Dunham should be grateful that this mess of a show is even making through its 6th season. It should have been cancelled within its 1st season. Proof that being very well connected in Hollywood like Dunham and her co-stars really does help. Because they have no talent whatsoever and have made it very far due to nepotism.

I love Season 1, although it’s definitely for hipster only, it was at least still honest, unpretentious and relatable. I left it in the middle of the Season 2 and never bother to come back. IT IS INDEED FOR RICH WHITE HIPSTER KIDS WITH THEIR RICH WHITE HIPSTER PROBLEM. Bored. Meanwhile, HBO cancelled GETTING ON.

Like some of you, I thought it was good the first season. The second season bored me, so I stopped watching. I think somewhere around season 3 or 4, I wondered if it was still good, so I tried watching another episode. I didn’t even get all the way through the episode before giving up. The show didn’t evolve at all. The characters never changed, no one grew, the plot never progressed. It was a terrible, self-indulgent vanity project for Dunham to display the cleverness she thinks she possesses.
