Naomie Harris Says Director Danny Boyle Changed Her Career, 'Twice!'
Naomie Harris walks along the beach wearing a bright yellow bikini under a cute romper on Saturday (January 2) in Bridgetown, Barbados.
The day before, the 39-year-old Spectre actress was joined by a group of girlfriends as she continued her Holiday vacation.
Naomie recently opened up about director Danny Boyle, who helmed Slumdog Millionaire, changing her career.
“When I left drama school, I spent nine frustrating months unemployed because I didn’t have any credits to my name, but all you need is one person to take a risk on you. And that person was Danny Boyle. From that, everything changed,” Naomie told Psychologies mag. “Then, 10 years later, when my career wasn’t going particularly well, and I hadn’t done theatre in 10 years since leaving drama school, he took another risk by casting me as Elizabeth in Frankenstein at the National Theatre and that is the reason why I’m sitting here now – because (Skyfall and Spectre director) Sam Mendes came to see it and he cast me for this role. So Danny Boyle, 100 per cent, changed my career. Twice!”
