Brian Eno Reveals How David Bowie Secretly Said Goodbye

Brian Eno, a longtime friend and collaborator of the late David Bowie, has released a touching statement after the entertainer’s death.

David‘s death came as a complete surprise, as did nearly everything else about him. I feel a huge gap now. We knew each other for over 40 years, in a friendship that was always tinged by echoes of [comic characters] Pete and Dud,” Brian started out his statement.

“Over the last few years – with him living in New York and me in London – our connection was by email,” he continued. “We signed off with invented names: some of his were mr showbiz, milton keynes, rhoda borrocks and the duke of ear.”

“I received an email from him seven days ago. It was as funny as always, and as surreal, looping through word games and allusions and all the usual stuff we did. It ended with this sentence: ‘Thank you for our good times, brian. they will never rot’. And it was signed ‘Dawn’. I realise now he was saying goodbye,” Brian concluded.

Make sure to also read the emotional quotes that David‘s wife Iman shared online days before his death.

Is it weird of them to share this with the public so soon after his death?

What kind of constant friend for over 40 years wouldn’t tell the other one they were buying the family cattle farm, so to speak? There’s something not right about that, and “Bowie” wasn’t even the guys real name. What!?

He had a wonderful life and I’d bet he was fine with knowing something new for a change.

what type of cancer did he had? no one said anything. I wonder where he was treated. I am feeling sad for Iman… she was so much in love with him.
