'Star Wars: Episode VIII' Release Date Pushed Back

If you’re dying to see Star Wars: Episode VIII, you’re going to have to wait even longer now as Disney just pushed the release date back!

The movie was originally scheduled to be released on May 26, 2017, but will now open on December 15, 2017, which is similar to The Force Awakens‘ release date.

Interestingly enough, Disney has now scheduled Johnny Depp‘s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales for May 26, 2017 as a replacement. It was set to be released on July 7, 2017.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has brought in $1.887 billion worldwide.
