Cate Blanchett Had Fears About Making 'Carol'
Cate Blanchett takes the stage to speak to the guests at the SK-II Change Destiny Forum on Thursday (January 21) in Tokyo, Japan.
The day before, the 46-year-old Oscar nominated actress was seen arriving at the airport before the big day.
Cate told Variety she was hesitant to make her Oscar film Carol.
“I think my fear was that this was somehow going to be as a film that would only interest women,” Cate said. “And the response from men, [which] I’ve found really heartwarming, is [that] it has that universal quality not only because of an audience’s sexual persuasion but also because of the gender.”
FYI: Cate is wearing Dolce&Gabbana.
