J.J. Abrams Thinks The Academy Diversity Issue is "Shameful"

The 70-year-old comedian also caught up with his Father of the Bride collaborator and writer Nancy Meyers.

Also in attendance that evening were Joy‘s director David O’Russell and Star Wars: The Force Awaken‘s director J.J. Abrams.

J.J. recently opened up to The Daily Beast regarding the Oscars diversity issue and admitted his disappointment.

“I think we all have a hell of a lot to do, and I think it is insane to me that we still have to have a conversation about inclusivity. It’s shameful,” he said.
