Laverne Cox has a hot new boyfriend in her life and they made their public debut at the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Saturday (January 30) in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old Orange Is the New Black actress is dating Jono Freedrix, according to Us Weekly. Laverne took him as her date to the awards show and they were seen sitting together at the event.

At an after party following the show, Laverne was “spotted packing on the PDA” with Jono. They were seen dancing and kissing. He reportedly even playfully slapped her butt at one point!

Jono is the president of a film and theater company based in Vancouver and used to be a high school teacher.
