The Jinx's Robert Durst Pleads Guilty to Gun Possession, Faces 85 Months in Prison
Robert Durst has plead guilty to illegally possessing a .38-caliber revolver in New Orleans, Louisiana on Wednesday (February 3).
The 72-year-old real estate heir has reportedly accepted a plea deal, in which he would spend 85 months in federal prison, the New York Times reports. The maximum sentence would be 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. A judge has reportedly “provisionally” accepted the deal, but would be under further review.
Robert would be likely transferred to Los Angeles in the near future to also face murder charges in killing his friend Susan Berman. Robert is also suspected to have killed his wife Kathy, as well as his former neighbor Morris Black. Robert was the subject of the HBO documentary The Jinx.
