Kesha & Mom Win Small Victory in Legal Battle with Dr. Luke

Kesha and her mom Pebe Sebert have won a small victory in their legal battle with the singer’s longtime producer Dr. Luke.

The 28-year-old singer filed a lawsuit against Luke in 2014 claiming that he sexually, physically, emotionally, and verbally abused her for the past decade.

Luke then filed a counter suit against Kesha and her mom with the claim that they were trying to extort him. He said they planned to go wide with the allegations unless he released her from her recording contract. He also filed a separate suit against Kesha‘s manager Jack Rovner.

Now, a judge dismissed Luke‘s claims. A New York judge says that there is no jurisdiction over Kesha‘s mom, though Pebe still faces a similar suit in Tennessee, according to THR.
