Former 'Survivor' Contestant Mike Skupin Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography
Former Survivor star Mike Skupin was jailed on Friday (February 5) on several charges including the possession of child pornography.
The 54-year-old former reality star was charged with five counts of larceny, one count of racketeering and six counts of possession of child pornography, according to Detroit’s Fox 2.
Mike was originally investigated after victims of an alleged Ponzi scheme he ran contacted a local news reporter.
“Not only did this man rob people of their hard earned savings with his financial scams but he victimized innocent children every time he looked at a piece of child pornography,” Attorney General Bill Schuette said in a statement.
Mike competed on Survivor‘s second season but was evacuated from the competition on day 17 after he fell into a fire and severely burned his hands. He later competed in season 25 and tied for second place.
He is currently at the Oakland County jail where his bond is set for $350,000.
