Metallica Rocks Out The Night Before Super Bowl 50!

Metallica takes the stage for a rock-filled concert at CBS Radio’s 2016 The Night Before concert ahead of the 2016 Super Bowl held at AT&T Park on Saturday evening (February 6) in San Francisco, Calif.

The guys – James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo – are from the Bay Area and a lot of fans were bummed to hear they weren’t asked to play the halftime show.

“The fan base is really wide, but as far as playing halftime for the Super Bowl, I have a feeling that ship has passed,” James said. “We’re not a variety show. We’re not pop. We’re not sparkly and all that kind of stuff that I think seems to be what is needed for that.”
