  • Jenny from the flop

she’s so fake. everything for publicity! She could had gracefully donated the money in peace and quiet like the rest of the world, but nah she had to rub it in our faces “i’m donating 2 millions so i’m better then you!”

  • Kaitlyn

Good heart. Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. I get it.

  • Casey C

yes, publicising her donation to inspire others to donate and raise even more money for the cause really does make her the worst of the worst…ffs

Here you are again, you psychotic hater…whenever there is an article about Lawrence you are in the comment section spreading nothing but hatred. You are PATHETIC. I hope you get an heart disease and the only hospital that can cure you is Jennifer’s…then maybe you would change your mind, maybe not even then.

Stop asking people to donate their money when you have way more money than we’ll ever see. These celebrities are annoying when they do these kinds of things.

  • TC_94

They actually don’t have all that money, certainly not when compared to billionaires who could do a lot to help but do nothing…They are doing what they can to help people, that’s something to admire.

  • tjpm

The reason why she says how much she is donating herself is to prove that she is not only taking but also giving. But lets all keep in mind that these foundations are tax free… I admire ppl who get involved in this sort of things, lets rejoice in the good.

There are plenty of upper middle class to wealthy people that, collectively, can help match her donation. I don’t see where she’s asking anyone struggling to make ends meet donate money they don’t have.

  • Marc

Billionaires DO donate a lot. They just don’t rub it in our faces so we’re not as aware. There’s even a wikipedia page on how much donations each billionaire in the world has donated and to what cause. Warren Buffett has donated 30.7 billion for Healthcare, extreme poverty, education, access to information technology. Anyone know his name? No. Because they don’t go around shoving it in our faces to be more loved like celebrities.

  • UltimatePhillippe (Spain)

Totally agree with Jenny. You can make a video to inspire others to donate, but do not have to mention that you have donated $2 million.

When you mention the money you’ve given, you do more for publicity than anything else.

  • TC_94

“Anyone know his name?”…of course, who doesn’t know Warren Buffett, he is also in movies from time to time (Entourage in 2015). And also Bill Gates does charity. But not all billionaires do. 30.7 billion dollars! Wow, and have there been some progress, did that solve anything? Healthcare…He should have donated that money to US poor citizens or to help bring jobs to the US. Jennifer Lawrence wasn’t rubbing it in our face, she was inviting other people to donate like she did, in the hope that her popularity and fans would push more people to donate. That’s a bad way of reasoning you have, assuming that they do it just for themselves because they are stupid celebrities…Well, one could make the assumption that Warren Buffett and especially Bill Gates (and his foundation known all over the world) are also shoving it in our faces, using their money to appear as good people while in reality they are ruthless businessmen. I chose to see that they are all donating money and doing their part in order to help people. And movie stars, celebrities can have a certain impact on society, setting an example for people who admire them.

  • Jenny from the flop

you’re being naive. if you want to inspire others to donate you don’t say how much you’ve donated yourself, because it makes us normal people feel like we cannot compete with that, and that’s all jlaw is about. post people will feel that their 2 dollars won’t have any value compared to jlaw, so they don’t even bother donating, which is the issue. every dollar count, and jlaw failed to explain that

  • FerCat

A lot of these celebrity foundations can be dubious at best. Most of the donation wind up funding the operations of the foundation itself and not actually go to the needy.

  • Glimh

So forget the children, right? it doesn’t matter that they have a chance to live thanks to Jennifer, because it was just for publicity… Smh
