Angelina Jolie Says She 'Never Wanted to Have a Baby'

Angelina Jolie is opening up about motherhood in this revealing new interview.

The 40-year-old actress said that filming Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in Cambodia back in 2000 is when she realized she wanted to become a mother.

“When I first came to Cambodia, it changed me,” Angie told AP. “It changed my perspective. I realized there was so much about history that I had not been taught in school, and so much about life that I needed to understand, and I was very humbled by it.”

She continued, “It’s strange, I never wanted to have a baby. I never wanted to be pregnant. I never babysat. I never thought of myself as a mother…It was suddenly very clear to me that my son was in the country, somewhere.”

That was when Angie haven’t met the right person she will fall in love with. Thank God Brad came along and the love story is now being written. They are perfect to each other. So very happy for them. God bless the Jolie Pitt Family.

Finally a new thread ! Shame was getting so much information in one news Brad ! JJ woke !

  • busted

They are idiots. She said this when she first adopted Maddox. Just like she said she never thought she would have biological children. Just adopt. Then she met Brad. Who she said was accepting of what she wanted.. she changed her mind and wanted children with him. So the troll can twist whatever. The truth is out there. Their racist asses have a problem with anyone that isn’t white.

I believe when she talks about it and did not really want to be a mother and not get involved after her divorce ! But they fell in love unintentionally. Angelina was centered on his son . Brad just wanted to work . But love was stronger and they could not stay away from each other ! And the children were the result ! To date can not stay away. Angie is lighter and happier when Brad is with her. Brad always seems eager to be with his family and his love ! It is easy to see in the pictures ! I love this couple ! I love this family !

This story made me laugh. Some guy in Brooklyn lost his wallet and was bumming out because he thought he’d have to replaces his Driver’s License and credit cards. A week later he got a package in the mail with his DL and credit cards – but not his cash, his train pass or the wallet it self. The following note was in the package -–/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3NfbGVnbztmaT1maWxsO2g9NTQwO2lsPXBsYW5lO3B5b2ZmPTA7cT03NTt3PTk2MA–/

Thanks for posting the new article about The Dame. Do folks think she may premiere it at The Cambodian film festival since it’s in December?

And if that is the official premiere, does that preclude her showing it at other festivals? I am wondering, because if the film is really good, would Netflix want to show it in other places prior to December in order to build good wood of mouth and build a shield against later personal attacks by agenda driven critics?

I was joking about it being British and then thought to look it up and it is!!!! Only it’s the slang of a French phrase.

You can tell that Dede and Jeremy were more involved in the day to day things. Brad has really stepped back and let them be in the spot light for this movie. I find that very admirable.

And I also loved the part when they talked about how people find movies later. Brad has said that for such a long time. That everyone doesn’t go see a film in the theater.

That’s ALWAYS been their job, though, since Brad Grey left the company. Brad was never involved in the day-to-day stuff because he didn’t have time. They’re job is to find the bulk of the projects and shepherd them through the development process. Obviously Brad’s aware of what’s going on, but he doesn’t have time to do all the necessary groundwork. Aside form Angie and the kids and acting – he’s got a furniture biz, a vineyard, MIR and Graf. As Fincher said – he’s a busy fvcker.

Angelina Jolie Never Thought She’d Be A Mother

“It’s strange, I never wanted to have a baby.”

    02/17/2016 06:07 pm ET

    Carly Ledbetter

    Entertainment Writer, The Huffington Post

Angelina Jolie is nearly as famous for her acting as she is her brood. Jolie and her husband, Brad Pitt (as if you forgot), have six children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox.

And even though we couldn’t imagine her without her gorgeous kids, Jolie told the Associated Press that she never had intentions of becoming a mother.

“It’s strange, I never wanted to have a baby. I never wanted to be pregnant. I never babysat. I never thought of myself as a mother,” said Jolie. The Hollywood star has made similar claims before, telling Elle magazine nearly the same thing two years ago.

“I never thought I’d have children,” Jolie confessed in June 2014. “I never thought I’d be in love, I never thought I’d meet the right person. Having come from a broken home — you kind of accept that certain things feel like a fairy tale, and you just don’t look for them.”

The “Kung Fu Panda 3″ actress is currently in Cambodia for her film, “First They Killed My Father.” The Netflix film is based on a memoir about the 1970s Cambodian genocide by human rights activist Loung Ung. Jolie has an incredible connection to the country, as it’s where she adopted her first child, Maddox, in 2002.

“When I first came to Cambodia, it changed me,” Jolie told the AP. “It changed my perspective. I realized there was so much about history that I had not been taught in school, and so much about life that I needed to understand, and I was very humbled by it.”

Maddox is currently helping his mom on the film in Cambodia, but in a recent interview, Jolie swore she didn’t want her kids to become celebrities.

“We’ve always said if they’re going to be actors I hope they do something [else first] and then be actors,” Jolie told the “Today” show a few weeks ago.

Let’s be honest, in about 20 years — these kids are going to rule Hollywood.

    And the comments are excellent!

Same AP interview published in Sabay News – pictures posted before, except new one with asst. director Adam Somner – Feb. 18th

Angelina Jolie: Cambodia changed my life

Told the AP news agency during an interview in the country on Wednesday US actress Angelina Jolie said: “it’s really strange, I never want to have a child. I did not want to get pregnant. I never thought myself to be a mother. But when it comes to things have changed. ”

The 40-year-old actress first started thinking about want and live with children when she comes filming Tomb Raider in Cambodia in 2000. A time when the wife of Brad Pitt visited children at a school in Cambodia, she felt her child is in this country. In 2002, Angelina has also agreed to take Maddox adopted.

“When I first arrived, it changed me. It changed my perspective. I learned a lot of history in this country, I did not learn in school and know a lot of life I’d like to know. Actress in “Maleficent,” he said, adding that she felt absolutely nothing all the time in Los Angeles.

She was excited by the graciousness and warmth of the people, for this tragedy More than 2 million people during the Khmer Rouge. During filming “Lara Croft” in 2000 in a suite required to escape the mines. It seemed to make her feel really refugees face in the war. For filming showed understanding and she began to learn knowledge. It also urged Angelina contacted the UN’s High Commissioner for Refugees to study the work of the agency before becoming a diplomat goodwill in 2001.
