Lady Gaga gives an emotional performance of her nominated song “Til It Happens to You” live on stage at the 2016 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 28) in Hollywood.
The 29-year-old entertainer sat at the piano and sang her heart out while surrounded by victims of rape and sexual abuse.
Vice President Joe Biden introduced the performance and gave a great speech about the importance of raising awareness for consent on college campuses and around the country.
Gaga was nominated for writing the song for the movie The Hunting Ground alongside Diane Warren, but lost to Sam Smith’s “Writing’s On the Wall.”
