Mary Elizabeth Winstead Says '10 Cloverfield Lane' Is Connected To 'Cloverfield' In Spirit
Mary Elizabeth Winstead strikes a pose on the red carpet while attending the premiere of her anticipated film 10 Cloverfield Lane held at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 Theater on Tuesday (March 8) in New York City.
The 31-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-stars John Goodman and John Gallagher Jr., executive producer J.J. Abrams, director Dan Trachtenberg, as well as Mary‘s pal Tara Summers who came out to show her support.
“I remember seeing it in the theater and loving it. It was such an inventive new take on the monster movie,” Mary recently revealed about the original Cloverfield (via MovieWeb). “They really flipped it on its head. They told it in a fresh, new personal way. This film is connected in spirit, in terms of that. To make something that was this exciting, to move people to the edge of their seats, that was an absolute thrill. I couldn’t be more excited to have made this film.”
