Matt Damon Says Title of Fifth 'Bourne' Installment Will Make Sense When the Film Debuts
Matt Damon looks a little run down while filming scenes for the fifth Jason Bourne film on Monday afternoon (March 21) in London, England.
The 45-year-old actor could be seen with a bruised eye and some scratches above his forehead as he got into character.
The night before, Matt opened up to Empire about the film being called Jason Bourne instead of beginning the title with “The Bourne” as they had in the past.
“We talked about calling it The Bourne Something, but I think the idea was to separate this film from the others, because so much time has passed since we did one. Ours are really about identity, and the guy’s search for identity, and at the end of the third one, he says ‘I’m no longer Jason Bourne,’” he explained.
Matt added, “I think the title will make more sense when you see the movie, but it felt right because it felt pertinent to the story we were telling and also different from the others – in the right way. A decade has passed…”
