Tom Green Offers to Help Man Arrested For Not Returning 'Freddie Got Fingered'
Tom Green is offering to help a man who was arrested for failing to return a copy of Freddie Got Fingered he rented in 2002.
The 44-year-old director and star of the film learned of the man’s arrest on Wednesday (March 23) through Twitter.
James Meyers was pulled over on his way to drop his daughter off at school for a broken taillight but was surprised when the officer told him there was a warrant out for his arrest pertaining to an unreturned VHS rental.
He was later charged with failure to return rental property, which is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $200.
Tom now wants to help James, telling the NY Daily News, “If it’s 200 bucks of course I’ll pay it for him, just for the principle of the thing.”
