Kelly Rowland Is In Search For The Next Superstar Girl Group in 'Chasing Destiny'
Kelly Rowland is all smiles in an orange ensemble as she makes her way out of the Times Square Studios to film her appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday (March 30) in New York City.
The 35-year-old entertainer then switched outfits to continue promoting her new show Chasing Destiny, where she teamed up with Frank Gatson, the legendary creative director of Destiny’s Child, to search the country for the next superstar girl group.
“I remember Destiny’s Child‘s very last tour and looking at Frank and said, ‘I wanna do another girl group of my own,’ and I just hadn’t had the time to do it and I finally had the time to do it,” Kelly expressed.
“We wanted to shoot it documentary style,” Kelly added. “Thank God BET was on board with us and wanted to do that, and it’s something different. It’s something cool. It’s not a reality show at all, it’s not making the band, it’s not anything like that. We just let the cameras role and we just wanted to see what happened.”
